            The June 12, 2018 regular board meeting started at 6:30pm when all parties rose to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

            Kay Chapman Tug Hill Commission gave her report –

 

Financial Report – Not available.

 

Justice Report – Not available.

 

 

            The Clerks Report for May 15, 2018 was presented.  Total disbursed $28,979.28.  Taxes and Penalties - $21,731.48, total revenues to Supervisor $7,247 plus $707.83 penalties.  A motion to accept the clerks report was made by Councilman Don Vincent and seconded by Councilman Mike Birchenough.

 

Planning Board – Minutes of meeting (June 11, 2018) was presented.  Jennifer Rogers and Robert Gardner (Project 2018-02) application for site plan was approved.

 

            The minutes for the May 15, 2018 were copied and passed around to all Board Members who were given a chance to review.  There was a correction to the minutes where Don Vincent, Councilman was omitted under Present.  The correction was made.  A motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes and to accept the minutes was made by Councilman Don Vincent and seconded by Councilman Mike Birchenough.

 

            Deer River wind update – IDA will get their fee up front.  Still negotiating to get at least 8000.

 

            Highway Report was presented by Superintendent Don Cook.

  • Double surface treatment completed on McDonald Road full distance and 3/10th mile of Denning Road off of Seven By Nine Road.  Also Chip sealed 1.2 miles River Road off of St RT 177.

  • All road material on hill.

  • Dust control to start next week

  • Helped Harrisburg Black Top

  • Helped county black top

  • Additional fuel tank fabricated and installed on Mack dump truck (P4) which will be able to run all day

  • Started roadside mowing (after repair)

  • Vacations coming up.  Mike C, Jim, Don

  • Caleb Frizzell no longer working for town

 

New Business –

 

RESOLUTION #62-2018  Appoint Member to Board of Assessment Review

WHEREAS, there is a vacancy on The Board of Assessment Review, and

WHEREAS, Patrick Birchenough has expressed interest in being a member of the Board of Assessment Review and

WHEREAS, Mr. Birchenough has received the required training, and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Pinckney Town Board hereby appoints Patrick Birchenough, to the New York to the Board of Assessment Review for a five year term ending on September 30, 2023, and

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED This resolution is retroactive to June5, 2018.

 

            A motion to accept Resolution #62-2018 was made by Councilman Don Vincent and seconded by Councilman Dan Pearson.  The Poll of Board was YEA

 

Old Business –

            Still have ZBA position open.  Will have open planning board seat as of July as Ed Barker will be leaving the area.

 

            Phil Street suggested that The Town of Pinckney should contact our attorney regarding appointing a Highway Superintendent, which the town did.  The attorney advised to think before acting.  More will be discussed at a later date.

 

            Letters were sent to property owners regarding trash , refuse and debris.  Action should be taken on this.  Letter will  be sent to Don Mallette to enforce this matter.

 

            Vouchers were passed around the table and all were approved and signed by the Board.  A motion to accept the vouchers was made by Councilman Don Vincent and seconded by Councilman Mike Birchenough.

 

            A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:30pm was made by Councilman Dan Pearson and seconded by Councilman Don Vincent.
