The regular board meeting commenced at 6:30pm; all
parties present rose to say the Pledge of Allegiance. The first order of business was the Open
Forum which there was no public comment.
The second order of business was the Deputy Clerks
Monthly Report. The board members reviewed the report and a motion to accept
the report was made by Don Vincent and second by Sandi Dunn. The Financial Report for July was reviewed by the board members
and a motion to accept the report was made by Sandi Dunn and second by Dan
Pearson.
Resolution #74-2016 (please see attached) for Budgetary Transfer for
Cemetery Personal Service was passed and motion to accept was made by Don
Vincent and second by Dan Pearson. Poll
of Board was yea.
The Justice Report for July was not available. The next order of business was the Planning
Board. They met with Jim Burrows to explain Article 10 which he explained
things to take in consideration (zoning, setbacks, decommissioning, how it will
affect the town and the community, the roads and the benefits from the windmills). The board also discussed the property on Cory
Road. Next Planning Board meeting will
be August 15, 2016 at 7:00pm.
The minutes of the prior meeting were copied and passed
around to all Board members, who were given a chance to review the
minutes. Sandi Dunn motioned to dispense
with the reading of the minutes and to accept the, second by Don Vincent.
Kay Chapman from the Tug Hill Commission gave a short
report. New York State Comptroller
announced 2017 town tax levy cap. The
tax levy limit for towns for 2017 will be 0.68 percent, a decrease over 2016
number of .73 percent. Municipal Tree

Tomorrow Paddle Field Trip will be August 20ty from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
Superintendent Don
Cook’s Highway Report – Added “Pave NY” monies to chips amount. Two county trucks (97 Ford and 95L9000) are in
our ownership. Champion Peak and McGowan
roads are completed. All roads are
graded, In August they will do Grant
Road to Tower Rd. They will put 6” crushed bank run on Murrock
Rd and Gander Rd resurfaced. Parish Rd
will be reworked. We will replace cutting edge on grader with “parts in
stock”. Also will be doing culvert replacements on Gardner, Champion Peak and
McGowan.
New Business- Supervisor Sherry Harmych moved the meeting
along to Resolution 75-2016 (please see attached) to sully
participate in Article 10 application to site major electric generating
facilities in Town of Pinckney. Dan
Pearson made a motion to accept the resolution and second by Sandi Dunn. Board was polled with yea. Resolution 76-2016 (please
see attached) for supporting Fort Drum as the preferred site for an East Coast
Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Interceptor – motion was made by Dan
Pearson to accept the resolution and second by Don Vincent. Board was polled with yea.
Old
Business – Dan Pearson suggested we look into a local law or permit for
solicitation.
An
Executive session was requested at
7:15pm.
After
the Executive meeting vouchers were passed around the table and all were signed
by the Board. Sandi Dunn motioned to
accept the vouchers, Don Vincent second the motion. Sandi Dunn then motioned to adjourn the
meeting at 7:30pm, Don Vincent seconded the motion.

AT 6:30pm.

An Executive meeting was
called to order by Sherry Harmych at 7:15pm.
This meeting was called to up-date the board of pending litigation.
Motion to close meeting at
7:20pm by Sherry Harmych and seconded Sandy Dunn.
