was going on around Tug Hill; please see attached.
The clerks report was reviewed with
the board and Don Vincent made a motion to accept the report, Bob Amidon
seconded the motion. The minutes of the prior meeting were also reviewed after
copies were made available to the board members and the board accepted the
minutes.
The financial report was distributed
among the board and Supervisor Harmych explained the errors in the report and
that the money was all there, just the accounts were where the errors lay. The
board discussed the possibility of an audit; however, it was determined that
the cost of an audit would be beyond what the board would be willing to pay.
The Justice report was motioned to be accepted by Don Vincent and Sandi Dunn
seconded the motion.
It was reported that the Barnes
Corners Playground would be hosting an Old Home Day in 2016, the date is set
for August 6th, which is earlier in the month than past years.
Furthermore, October 3rd, 2015 is a work day at the playground.
The Pinckney Cemetery received a
$2500 grant from the Lewis County Historical Society; this is close monetarily
to what is needed to get the cemetery into good condition. There will be an
October 10th, 2015 dedication ceremony at 11am and all are invited
to attend.
The Highway report was distributed
by Superintendent Don Cook; the main concern as of now being dust control. The
Cronk Road rebuild has been completed and the snow drifting hills on said road
have been removed. The highway department also has been rebuilding “P1” the one
way plow to get ready for plowing season.

into an Executive Session after excusing the public from the meeting. At
7:55pm, Sherry made a motion to end the Executive Session and Dan Pearson
seconded the motion.
As for old business, in regards to
the Townsend/Puffer property, Emily Puffer is willing to trade a portion of the
property to the town in exchange for a barrier to keep sand off her property,
trees planted between the properties, and help cleaning up the house and
remainder of the barn. The BAS programming has been purchased for the Town
Clerk and paperwork is being completed prior to installation. The unsafe
property notice was returned to sender via the USPS and the next steps are to
file a copy with the County Clerk, post a copy to the property itself, and wait
to hear from the Town Attorney on the matter. Moreover, Fall Clean-up will be
held September 12th.
Finally, the vouchers were accepted
by the board after a motion by Sandi Dunn and a second by Don Vincent. Bob
Amidon motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:38pm and Sandi Dunn seconded the
motion.
